Thanksgiving 2021 hours

Happy Thanksgiving! While this year was as challenging as 2020, we are so very grateful to you for your continued business.

We will be open Thanksgiving weekend but will also be spending time with family. Our hours are limited and will be clustered together as much as possible in order to maximize both goals! As such our appointment system is currently blocked off until Monday, November 29th. If you would like to schedule an appointment between November 25-28th, please email us, with your preferred day and times, and we will do our best to schedule you in. If you can wait until the 29th, please do schedule directly with our appointment system.

California Shelter in Place Order

As of midnight 3/20/20, all of California is under a shelter in place order. Only essential businesses (and those that work for them) are allowed to continue to conduct business during this shelter in place order. Per guidelines from the California Secretary of State, a notary (unless as an employee of an essential business) cannot perform notary signings on their own or can be charged with the misdemeanor and it’s $1500 penalty.
As such, as hard as it is for me to financially do so, I will be suspending any notary appointments until the order is lifted. Thank you all for your business, I hope we can see each other soon!

Please don’t be offended if…

To my dear clients

Please don’t be offended if in this time of pandemic that I don’t hug you, even if you’re a repeated client that’s become a friend or shake your hand as you welcome me into your home.

I think we can all agree, that we’re having to adapt to new social norms, and hope you’ll accept my ‘jazz hands’ or shaka as an appropriate greeting instead at this time.

down with the flu

Due to a flu diagnosis, we will not be taking appointments until (minimally) March 17, 2020. While we expect to be contagion free by March 14th, in these pandemic times, we feel it necessary to be extra precautious of our friends, family, and clients. As always our calendar has our most up to date availability.

Summertime & Back to School Shopping

We’re in the midst of summer and I’ve been notarizing a lot of (last minute) parental consent to travel with minor forms lately. Looks like a lot of fun trips to be had. As people come back and start to gear up for back to school and back to school shopping, it reminds me of when I was a child and getting a new pair of shoes each year (i went to parochial school and wore a uniform, so shoes were pretty special). Many children do not have that luxury these days, they quickly grow out of the shoes they have, buy second hand shoes at thrift stores, as well as their clothes, if they dont get them second hand. I’m happy to take part in a Back to School Shoe drive with Ssamaritan House of San Mateo. From July 14 through August 11, I will be donating all of my travel fee funds to purchasing new school shoes for children ages 11-16 who are clients for Samaritan House. I’m so thankful that I was able to have both the education I had as a child, as well as new school shoes each year.

Out of the Area

Out of Town – San Diego Area Appointments

We will be out of the Bay Area Friday, May 19th through Monday, May 22nd. We will be unable to accept appointments at that time, resuming appointments after 6:30 pm, Tuesday, May 23rd.

We will, however, be accepting appointments, in the North County San Diego area, Saturday 2 pm Through Monday 11 am, via telephone appointment.

New Year, new website

It was badly time for a new website, so we’ve made the leap. Our notary business now has it’s very own website. All of our services and fees are linked within the site, as well as you can now book your appointments online.
